Upcoming events and happenings in August

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  Our normal summer business hours are Monday - Saturday 12pm - 8pm, Sunday Closed.  Please take note of the below events and on those days when the store will be open or closed. 
Our business hours will change back September 2, 2013 with hours then being 10am - 7pm Monday - Saturday, Sunday closed.

Paranormal Picnic Gathering
The Paranormal Picnic is a gathering hosted by Spirit World Paranormal Investigators (SWPI) for Ghost Hunters, Psychics, Mediums, or those with an interest in the Paranormal who would like to discuss all things Paranormal. Basically, it's a paranormal networking event, with everyone that has an interest in the paranormal welcome! Since it is held in a beautiful park, people of all ages are welcome! Smokey Crystal will be setup to vend at this event, come visit us here, or stop by the store, it will still be open regular business hours.

Sunday August 4, 2013 1pm - 4pm
Lammas Ritual/Celebration
At Lammas, sometimes called Lughnasadh, it's time to celebrate the first harvest of the year, and recognize that the hot summer days will soon come to an end. The plants of spring wither and drop seeds to ensure future crops. Grains are ready to be harvested and the fruits are ripe for picking. We can give thanks for the food on our tables.  We are going to host this event at Elizabeth Park (3873 W Jefferson Ave, Trenton, MI 48183)  If you GPS 2990 W Jefferson Ave, Trenton, MI 48183, you will see the Park right in front of you.  If you follow the exact address of the park, it will take you around to the side of the park.  The ritual for this event will be short as more focus will go upon the harvest of the season rather than the magickal workings of a ritual.  This event is potluck, please bring a dish to pass and don't forget to bring drink for yourself, just no alcohol as it is not allowed in the park and kids may be present.

A non-profit corporation that works toward religious tolerance between all faiths and fights against discrimination based on religious beliefs.  They host an annual Pagan Pride Day event for the Metro Detroit area on or around the Fall Harvest.  This day is filled with fun, food, ritual, vendors, and classes and more, all in a beautiful park setting.
Smokey Crystal will be setup at this event and the store will be closed.  Come on out to PPD and say hi!

I want to take a moment to thank you all for your continued patronage.  I know with the West Rd. construction, visiting the store has become more difficult.  Despite this difficulty, some of you have made the trip.  We are very grateful for your return and/or first visit, and look forward to visiting with you again.
