Goddess Danu

DANU
The Irish/Celtic earth goddess, matriarch of the Tuatha Dé Danann ("People of the goddess Danu"). Danu is the mother of various Irish gods, such as the Dagda (also mentioned as her father), Dian Cecht, Ogma, Lir, Lugh, and many others. Her Welsh equivalent is the goddess Don.
The most ancient Celtic Goddess, she is believed to be associated with either Morrigan or Bridgid although it is not clear if she is the mother of these goddesses or facets of herself.  Her name means knowledge, wisdom, teacher, wealth, and abundance.  She is also known as Dana and as her Welsh equivalent, Don.  She is often referred to as an all-encompassing Divine Source due to how ancient she is.
Her symbol is a black cauldron filled with water.  She is a goddess of fertility, creativity and abundance and her spirit heals, guides, and fulfills needs.  She is known for giving good luck and granting wishes.  Because of her association with good luck, she has been favored by treasure hunters.
Her correspondences:

Danu is known as a triple Goddess taking on the facets of the Maiden, Mother, and Crone.  In these facets, she also encompasses air, earth, and water.  She is able to embody the form or energy suited to the situation at hand.  With that ability she brings the power of versatility and teaches us to honor and respect diversity within ourselves and within others.  Additionally, she reminds us to honor each stage of our physical life.
The Tuatha de Danann are considered the “wise ones.”  They are believed to have been the alchemists of ancient Ireland.  The legend goes that when the Gaelic’s invaded Ireland, the Tuatha de Danann shape shifted to the Sidhe (shee) who are considered the “fairy folk” or the Leprechauns of Ireland.  With these connections she has, she will act as a Divine Ambassador to the Elemental Kingdoms, providing platforms for positive interactions with the Leprechauns and the Fairy Folk.
She is considered the first “Great Mother” of Ireland, the Divine Creator aspect of the Goddess who birthed all things into being.  In her water facet, she wields the magic of Divine flow.  This River Goddess aspect offers to clear stagnant energy and to remove blockages so that our efforts more easily flow into fruition.  Here she brings motivation to move within the direction of our dreams.
As the Goddess of Air aspect, she brings attributes of inspiration, intellect, change, and transcendence.  In this she brings for the essence of universal wisdom and divine knowledge.  She knows the secrets of divine alchemy and divine magic and offers a reminder that through our oneness to the divine source, we are one with the all encompassing universal wisdom.
Looking over all aspects of her, she reminds us that we create the life we desire and that through our ascended self, we are aligned with purity of purpose.  She assists us in transcending illusions of unworthiness, reminding us that we are part of the divine source, infinite potential, and infinite possibility.  She reminds us that we are absolutely worthy of our dreams and completely capable of realizing our greatest dreams.  She brings empowerment with the remembrance that we each are the director of our own destiny and that within us we have the power to realize our greatest dreams come true.  We innately know our highest truth and are able to transcend lesser goals that stem from low self-worth and lower self-limiting vision.  She empowers us to embrace our dreams, worthy of our divine consciousness.
She specializes in realigning us with our divine truth that is abundant, flourishing, fertile, wise, and empowered.  She brings the steadfast love and support of a Mother Goddess and is a wonderful representation of the infinite, all encompassing divine universal source.  A powerful guide for those who seek to remember their highest truth, she is motivating, encouraging, and always promotes the awareness that the power to achieve anything resides within us.
