Faceup Meaning: Heartbreak.  Sadness over current events.  The heavens open up with tears.  Hurt over a loss.  Bad omens.  Being separated from those you need.  Feeling as though  you are coming apart.  A stabbing emotional pain in your chest.  Delaying actions.  Disappointment and strife.  Everything seems dreary and dark.  Bring open to crying over a loss.

Reversed Meaning: Resisting feelings of sadness.  Not willing to feel sorrow.  Putting on a stone face.  Prolonging the healing process.  Tendency toward a cold disposition.  Emotional discord that you try to ignore.  An extreme alienation from your own feelings.  Trying to block negative emotions.  Self-conflict.  You can’t seem to get away from those with whom you associate.

Message for the day: Last year was one rough year for most of us.  Many experienced losses of loved ones, jobs, finances, homes, etc.  Some was expected, some was a surprise.  Take some time, allow yourself time to grieve over your losses, they are justified, you know what needs to be done.   Once you are done mourning, look around and see what you are left with.
As long as you have a breath to breathe with, you haven’t hit bottom yet and the only way to go is up.  Take that sadness and put it into perspective, then grab that first rung on the ladder and begin to climb your way back up to the top.  2012 may have hurt, but it is behind us now.  We are in 2013, not only a new day, but a new year.  This is the year of growth, let's embrace the challenge.  If needed, reach out to a friend/family member that can help you grab those rungs.  Before you know it, a smile will be back on your face as you realize you have overcome a hurdle that has made you a stronger person, more capable of helping others in the world.
