The Son of Swords is standing on top of a grand pillar, which represents community and position.  He is a great leader, like his sister, but in a different way.  In his hands he holds the power of wealth, symbolized by the money, and the burden of submission, symbolized by the whip.  Beneath him are the many arms reaching upward, supporting his pillar.  It takes many people in cooperation to have a government.  Behind him is the all seeing eye.  The rainbow foretells good fortune, and the lively and colorful plants in the foreground fill the air with happy scents.  The bee symbolizes hard work and dedication to community.  In a more direct way, the skull speaks of his power over life and death within his social structure, while the diamond represents the rewards for being a member of that structure.  He is a very thoughtful leader whose mind is never still.  With the support of the community, he will lay to rest old belief systems, making way for the new and improved.  His sword is away from the eyes of the public.  His ability to come up with great solutions will seem magical because the people don’t see the time and thought behind them.  He is a driving force and stands in the middle of pain and pleasure.  That is where his power comes from.

Face up Meaning: A positive masculine leader.  Extremely brave and forceful.  Always using his mind to find innovative solutions to everyday problems.  Rules with an even hand.  Is just as likely to use the whip as the prospect of reward to motivate others.  He is supported by his community.  Can be considered avant-garde in his approach to problems.  His ability to see things differently is one of his great strengths.  Bubbling over with new ideas.  Seeking balance in all things.  A true hero.  Events moving quickly.  An honest crusader.

Reversed Meaning: Conceited fool.  A fall to ruin because of a woman.  One mistake after another.  Impulsive and impudent.  Would rather fight than use his mind.  Blinded by his own ambition.  Myopic Treacherously sly.  Without the capacity for greatness.  Hollow and long-winded.  Domineering.  Cruel to others.  Harsh.

Message for the day: Be strong in your beliefs, but gentle in relaying that message to others.  Everything in life must have a balance and with that you can be strong in guiding others with a soft heart without being overrun.  Take the time to see what is around you and how you can help others without forcing them to bend to your rule.  Show them your heart.
