Great Gift Ideas for Pagans
What to Give Pagans, Druids, Wiccans and NeoPagans for the Sabbat
If possible, learn what path of spirituality your pagan friend/family member is practicing, this will make gift giving easier. If not, there are some general purchase items that work well with most any pagan. If you do not have a store near you, there are plenty of shops online to buy from, even we (Smokey Crystal) have a small online store.
Candles as Pagan Gifts
Candles for a Pagan are tools. They are used for specific purposes, intents, and representations. Some scented candles can be great for aromatherapy and to increase the desired intent the candle is to be used for.
- White – protection, the White Light of the Supreme One
- Violet – deep healing, psychicism
- Indigo – courage, luck
- Blue – healing, peacefulness
- Green – fertility, abundance
- Yellow – communication, intelligence
- Orange – protection, energy
- Pink – love
- Red – strong protection and energy
- Black – absorbs and banishes evil
Stones, crystals & metals have different meanings and purposes, any stone/crystal retailer should be able to guide you to which would be beneficial to your friend/family member. Many Pagans use stones, crystals, and metals in their spiritual work. Stones have their own energies and powers. Some vibrate with their own wavelengths. Crystals are also used to attain that which is desired and in healing. Metals also have their own symbolism.
Pagan Ritual Tools
Short knives, called athames, are used in spiritual work along with chalices (nice wine glass), cauldrons (camper cooking pot made of cast iron), incense, herbs, candlestick holders, besoms (brooms), bells, pentacles, pendulums, oils, and more are all used in rituals. Most of these items would be appreciated if gifted. Some things like candlestick holders, besoms, pentacles, pendulums, chalices, and bells should be thought about before purchasing as if you have not seen their ritual area, a wrong purchase may disrupt the space. Again, it helps if you know which spiritual path they are on, what items, if any they would love to update or are missing, but if you feel drawn to purchase one of these items for your friend/family member, do not hesitate, there is usually a reason you are feeling drawn to a certain item.
Jewelry Pagans Appreciate
Many shops offer beautiful selections of Pagan, Wiccan, Celtic and Gothic jewelry which include rings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants, charms wrapped stones and earrings.
Pagan Runes, Tarot and Meditative Cards
These cards are great for the novice and the experienced. There are over 3,000 decks available. There are also Oracle cards which are similar to Tarot, but easier to read. Runes are symbols that symbolize specific energies, usually drawn on clay or ceramics but some can be on glass, bone, or stone. There is also pendulum and boards that are used for safe, simple divination that a pagan friend would appreciate.
DVDs and Tapes for Pagans
Music is used in rituals, meditations and just for relaxation. Also, learning never stops so DVD's and books are usually good purchases.
Pagan Calendars, Almanacs and Blank Journals
Many Pagans and Wiccans use blank journals to record their thoughts, rites, rituals, recipes and traditions. Some make them their personal Book of Shadows, a book used for works of magick, working the forces of the Universe to attain a positive goal.
Décor for the Pagan Home
This includes figurines, plaques, statues, plants, wall hangings and knick-knacks.
Gift Certificates for Pagans
When in doubt as to what to give, these can be obtained at stores and on the Internet.
