Enchanted Pumpkin Seed Recipe

 
The Wyrding Way’s Enchanted Pumpkin Seed Recipe

1 medium orange
 ¼ cup brown sugar
 2 tbsp turbinado sugar
 2 tbsp pure vanilla extract
 ¼ tsp ground ginger
 1/8 tsp ground cloves
 1/8 tsp nutmeg
 ½ tsp cinnamon
 ¾ tsp sea salt
 2 c. dry pumpkin seeds

Zest the orange, blend it with brown sugar and spices-it should have the consistency of a thick paste. In a separate bowl, juice the body of the orange and blend with vanilla extract. Pour into the spice mixture. Mix in the pumpkin seeds. (Note: if you brine and dry your seeds before roasting, omit the sea salt in the spice blend.) Spread evenly on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Roast at 275° F (135°C) for 45 minutes or until crisp.
