FACTS ABOUT SALT

FACTS ABOUT SALT

At one time salt was heavily taxed and wars were fought over it.  With some ancient civilizations, salt was rare and turned into coins as currency.  Salt was used to finance empires in Europe and Asia

Salt is as important to people as air, we contain 4-8 oz of salt in and around the cells and tissues.  Without it our nerves will not function properly nor will our body process food properly.  It is also important in making our heart beat properly.

·         Our blood composition is similar to the sea water.

·         One or two glasses of water with a little salt will quickly and efficiently quiet the racing and "thumping" heart and, in the long run, will reduce the blood pressure.

·         Added to a bath, it gives an antiseptic effect to the skin and reduces histamine that causes inflammation and itching sensation.

·         Sea Salt makes the perfect mouth wash

·         It can be used to relieve acne and skin irritations, hives, psoriasis, dry and cracked skin, Rheumatologic conditions, muscle aches, stress and insomnia.

·         Sea salts are dissolved in water and used as a soaking bath.
